We are officially in autumn now that September is here…Right?

Personally I love autumn

the leaves turning, the brisk mornings and warm sunny days at this time of year. Of course, this is an ideal version of the marvelously problematic British weather which like many Mancunians I can be ever so slightly obsessive about (the weather&Manchester!) However, quilts come into their own in autumn and as well as brightening up a room with a colour pop of colour on the back of the sofa, or as a eye catching runner at the end of a bed, now you can start using them too!

With cosy autumnal days cuddling up in a quilt in mind, I am taking my quilts (cushions&more!) to several markets and shows in the forthcoming months. Check out my What’s On at Quilt Towers page for more details.  I’m next at Altrincham Market on Sunday 30th September See you there?

Chilly mornings & cooler nights. Wrap up warm!

By lisawato / September 5, 2018 / 0 Comments

Is your heating on now? Mine is! I’m notoriously nesh which goes right against my celtic roots, but might explain one of the reasons for my passion for authentic British textiles. If any excuse were needed to wrap up warm in a cosy British Woollen Blanket or a sumptuous Harris Tweed Quilt now the chilly mornings & cold nights are here, now is the time you can truly indulge in some delicious cosseting at home.

Enjoy your week, keep warm & onward x

I am so pleased with my beautiful quilt. The colours are lovely and they tone in really well with our bedroom colours.

Lisa is very proud of her quilts and justifiably so. I have never seen any like them, photos do not do them justice.
