Lisa Watson Blog
It was really lovely to have a fortnight off for all the festivities. I made myself slow down and I really appreciated the breathing space. Now I am back at work and ready to start the new year…
By Lisa Watson (that’s me!) re-opened today and my on-line shop has lots of delicious January quilt offers for you. Let’s face it January can be a trying month, so even though we are all raring to go following the festive hols, sometimes cosying up in a quilt is also much needed…And don’t forget, I also stitch bespoke quilts, so if you wish a unique, one of a kind patchwork quilt, just get in touch.
More tempting offers to follow in February. Until then, onward to the new decade x

If you are curious as to how to learn about Patchwork & Quilting, I am pleased to be running a can do taster Patchwork & Quilting workshop at Altrincham Open Studios on Sunday 8th September from 10-4pm, priced £55. Click here to book.
In this taster Patchwork & Quilting workshop Lisa Watson (that’s me!) will introduce you to hand stitched patchwork & quilting techniques and throughout the day talk through how you can develop your P&Q further at home, by hand, or on a sewing machine.
Takeaways from this days workshop are a hand-stitched patchwork pin cushion and a suffolk puff brooch. Lots of useful hand outs are provided, as well as all the materials. However, if you are a sewer, please do bring your sewing kit and fabrics with you to use for a truly personalised approach.
Bring a packed lunch for an half an hour break at midday. Tea and coffee and cake will be provided throughout the day.
Only 6 people max for this workshop, so book your place early.
