A Cornucopia of Quilts
A cornucopia of quilts were to be found at The Festival of Quilts 2021 last week.
Quilters from around the world descend on the NEC in Birmingham this time every year (but not last year!) to display their awesome quilts, network and celebrate all things quilts. FoQ is just the tonic of colour, pattern and textures to inspire and motivate. Some quilts delight, some are more challenging, or thought provoking, all are beautifully executed in stitch and cloth. This year I noticed lots of bold joyous designs and numerous quilts highlighting global issues, particularly with reference to the last 18 months… Here are a few of my quilt highlights;

I bought Lisa’s ‘sunshine yellow velvet and subtle blues, browns and greys Harris Tweed, quilt. Just love the fabrics, colour combinations and the workmanship is superb.
