Description
Two Charming Patchwork Quilts for the summer.
The first quilt is a bright and light ‘pinky’ square patchwork using unique fabrics from my stash and backed with a super soft houndstooth blue cotton. As this quilt has been quilted by ‘stitch in the ditch’ the zig-zag quilted pattern is visible on the back only.
The second quilt is stitched from utilitarian but cute, shirting fabrics in printed & woven cottons. The backing for this strip style patchwork quilt is a super soft lightweight shirting denim and it is quilting using the ‘stitch in the ditch’ method.
These quilts are made from *deadstock fabrics from Acorn fabrics which were made in the UK, so they are better for the environment as well as being the best handmade quilt price for you. I have a good mixture of shirting fabrics in stock, so if you wish me to make you a bespoke patchwork quilt, just get in touch.
*deadstock fabrics are leftover materials from previous productions or unsold stock from textile mills and apparel manufacturers. They are usually high quality materials that would otherwise be wasted and end up in landfills or incinerated.
